The Service
The Important Bit
The whole day was a wonderful celebration, but the most important part was the service where Andy & Jo became man and wife. The focus of the service was firmly on Jesus.
Rev Nicholas Martin | | The service was held at St Mary's Parish Church, Berry Pomeroy (famous for being used for the wedding in the film of Sense and Sensibility), and was led by Rev Nicholas Martin, the Team Rector of Totnes. |
Jo walked down the aisle to the worship song, Hungry (falling on my knees), by Kathryn Scott.

Jo and her Dad, Mike |
Suzy Robertson (Ricky's wife), read from Isaiah 43, and after a hymn Jamie Parkes read Ephesians chapter 1.
Andy and Jo then exchanged vows and made their covenant with each other and God. This was greeted with much rejoicing by all their friends and family!
Andy & Jo worshipping | | Paul Meager played the piano whilst Andy & Jo signed the register, and then he led us in a time of worship. |
 The address from Nicholas |
 | | Nicholas spoke on the theme of marriage, based on the two readings and the verse from the disciple John's first letter, which states that "God is love". |
Nicholas led us in prayer for Andy & Jo. Walter & Iris Keegan, who have been helping Andy & Jo prepare for married life, and Lee & Carolyn Howard, friends of Jo from YWAM, prayed for the newly married couple. During this time God spoke through Walter, saying that in order for Andy & Jo to come together in this way he had had to take certain things away from them. And that he was not going to give these things back, but give them even better things. We all joined in the Lord's prayer, affirming God's leadership of Andy & Jo's marriage.
After a final hymn Andy & Jo left the church to You and Me by The Wannadies. | Mr & Mrs Robertson |
